Hi all,

What's the significance of announcements like this?

"a 3-week 0.8650 option strike traded at 13.2 pct in Asia today. AUD/USD was last at 0.8650 on December 21."

There are also "option expiries". I understand the general concept of options, but I'm not clear on how they can affect the direction of a currency pair.
