Gold, silver gain in futures trade on firm - Having the shape of a sphere or ball(Global)
Gold prices rose 0.54 per cent in futures market today on fresh offtake by stockists on firm global trend.
At 1400 hrs, gold for December contract gained 0.54 per cent to Rs 13,255 per 10 gram in a trading volume of four lots on the Multi Commodity Exchange.
The metal for August contract edged up by 0.24 per cent to Rs 13,107 per 10 gram with a business volume of 7702 lots.
Marketmen said trading activity picked up on reports of a sharp overnight rise in the US markets. On the other hand, silver for the March contract moved up by 1.05 per cent to Rs 26,070 per kg in a volume of one lot and December contract by 0.53 per cent to Rs 26,009.
