Rupee strengthens, touches Rs 41.93

The rupee strengthened on Thursday on the opening. The currency went to the Rs 41 mark. The Indian currency was quoting at Rs 41.93/94 a dollar, compared with yesterday’s, close of Rs 42.09/10 a dollar.

According to marketmen, the reason for the rise in the rupee was due to lower oil prices.
