Australian Treasury sets bond switch tender
The Australian government will tender A$150 million ($133 million) of Treasury bonds on Wednesday which are switchable for comparable semi-government bonds.
The Australian Office of Financial Management said it would set and announce a yield for the June 15, 2011 Treasury bonds at 10:15 a.m. (2315 GMT) on Aug. 13.
These would be switchable for June 14, 2011 bonds from the Queensland Treasury Corporation (QTC).
Bidders would indicate the spread to the Treasury yield at which they would be prepared to sell the QTC bonds in exchange for purchasing an equal face value amount of the Treasury bonds.
