I too am new to the FX market and I've also been doing my homework on some FX firms out there. I saw an ad for this new platform, the "RCG Trader." I visited their site and it looked pretty interesting. I downloaded their demo to see what it was all about and it was pretty good (I've also downloaded GFT's, and CMC's). It was pretty easy to use and had a lot of good features. Anyone else had any experience with this one?

Hi bradrich

RCG Trader is not a proprietary software developed by Rosenthal Collins Group. If you look at their platform, it looks like Saxo Bank's trading platform. And indeed, it is a while label of Saxo Trader. You can check RCG's news page. The Saxo's trading platform is pretty good. It's easy to use and the platform has news, charts, everything. If it's not good, I guess E*Trade won't use Saxo Trader either. Well, a savvy forex trader will compare different trading platforms before making a decision. Because all of them have their advantages and shortcomings.

there you will find all the fx brokers listed and you can conduct your research from there. all of them have free demo to check out their platforms, check out their spreads, and then contact each one until you find one you like.

What's up with the FXCM's platform lately? It's quite slow. Does any forex dealer provide quick trade executions during the news release? Is there a real computer trading system like Nasdaq? Please help,

well well .. I read about FX Solutions and CMS Forex on your posting .. yep .. they suck alright !!! .. I tried to get straight answers on topic "money managers" from a FX Solutins online chat rep and got excuses and had to press hard for yes or no answers .. BEWARE !!!!!!!!! .. as for CMS Forex .. their "v trader" demo station is a royal pain in the bleep the customer service reps on the chatline address EVERYONE "Sir" and that tells me this might be an "ol' boys club" .. call me a feminist .. but some of traders out here WEAR PANTYHOSE and are no "Sir's"

Some says the bigger is better, others argue smaller offers personal services. Do your due diligence before stepping into the live Forex world. Check their demo systems. If you want to check the net capital of the forex broker, CFTC publishs FCM financials on a monthly basis. The link is http://www.cftc.gov/tm/tmfcm.htm Beware those advertising gimmicks such as guarantee prices, fixed spreads, etc. Usually, there's a disclaimer in small print at the bottom of the page. Not always the case in volatile markets. So far, my best choice is Gain Capital Gain Capital or their DBA Forex.com. Great platform, great service, period

Hi Rohit

I am a newby just like you. I have found that a good eduction is by far the best edge to have in this market. I took a course from this gal that has it all together. She really brought the complex down to my level. The best thing is she is alway there to answer my questions, email, phone and even one on one follow up training. What a deal. I have used fxcm and may others, and as "they" say 6 of 1 etc. Best of luck, but the edge is eduction
