The most important factor in determining the best broker is the execution. The second most important factor will be customer service in my view. I rated some forex brokers in the industry. The list is in the following order:

Best Customer Service: 1st. FXCM
2nd. Forex.com
3rd. Saxo Bank
4th. GFT
5th. CMS
6th. Interbankfx
7th. CMC
8th. FXDD
9th. FX Solutions

It looks like a player is on the rise. Reuters and CME are joining together to launch their FX service called FXMarketSpace. But I am not sure if they will offer spot FX or FX futures. Does anyone know the official website? It will be interesting because CME's E-Mini was a very sucessful product, I am waiting to see if they will launch something different in the retail FX market. The recent trend in the FX industry prompt me to think the position of some big investment banks. They must be watching very closely on these developments. If the retail FX market is a new venture, the competition will be fierce.Dobjonski, do you think the brokers on your list will survive?

They are getting into spot fx. They always had fx futures. But this time, it's the spot fx business. .....As the CME makes its first foray into spot market trading, CEO Donohue said the exchange's market model could be applicable to trading in other spot markets. "But one thing at a time," he said, noting that the foreign exchange market provided the most logical initial point of entry....... read the entire story on MarketWatch.com

the only plan that worked for me (as a new trader that didn't have a strategy or a set in stone broker) was Freedom Rocks. They specialize in helping the new investor that has gaps in their knowledge about foreign currency and also need a little entry and exit help.

go to www.freedomrocks.com/Jasmine

view their video and decide for yourself.

Heck yea they are slow, but worst thing about FXCM is that once I started making money they put me on Manual Trade. I started trading with them in February and by the end of April I was at my last $100 and since the beginning of May all I have been doing is making money and because I had a good day June 2 I am now stuck on Manual Trading. I have received about 4 different answers of why I am on it. Who cares if I make the right trade during busy news days. I am making money for FXCM anyway. Everytime I make a trade.

one thing that all forex dealers have in common is the shenanigans they pull during the news release. some one them says there's no prices, some of them says your trades are on the queue.... I am tired of their stupid stories. and yes, fxcm will put you on manual and you bet the rest of forex dealers will do the same. It's not a fair game. If you make money, they throw you out and if you lose, they keep you in. I believe the best bet is for any forex trader to trade intra day with a profit target of 20-30 pips and then get out, call it the day. Since most forex dealers do automatically execute trades with small trading volume, it's very likely you go unnoticed under their eye lid. That way, you avoid direct confrontation with them and make your sweeeeeeet mortgage payment with forex dealers' cash (not that they cough up the cash), they just slam more on those guys who do trade during news and who fansy the fx dreams by not trade the rules. I feel sorry for you as I was once banned with one of the forex dealers. But I did manage to get back in and I am now consistant and enjoy every little pip they spare me (of course, they don't even know)...... Wink

Thanks for the advice. Rather shocking to me. I have never traded stocks or foreign currency before and I got hooked in this currency trading. Its funny that you say that you are tired of listening to their stories.
I will just have to open another account with them so I do not have to be on Manual Trade and take your advice on it.

This is one reason why FXCM is the biggest....Marketing......Marketing.....and Marketing. Those guys know how to sell. I really have to give them credit. Comparing to other forex dealers. FXCM's pre-account-open service is the best. The make you feel their service is so personalized although they claimed to have more than 60,000 clients.

An honest broker is Interbankfx, their spreads are narrower. I like their automatic trading features. But I am not programming savvy so I need some help on the expert-advisor plugins. Does anyone know where I can download the experts for MT? By the way, I am using MT4
