Introducing Brokers (IBs) Q&A
The FX business nowadays is quite different from what it was 6 or 7 years ago. The computer based trading platforms now allow greater price transparencies. I still remember how the orders were done over the phone with a tape recorder on the other side. I was quoted 30-70 pips per order and grateful when the other end "show mercy" even the middleman still took a big chunk of change. When brokers keep lower their spreads such as recent announcement by Forex.com, FXCM, etc, and the trend is less likely to diminish (fractional spreads, place orders inside the spreads, etc). How do those so called "Introducing Brokers" make money? Are they being squeezed out of the game or there are being offered a different payout structure. Question
